Google bans Huawei from using Android

Huawei will no longer be able to use the Android operating system on its devices, a decision resulting from the executive order of the President of the United States of America, which prevents smartphones from accessing and updating Google's store.

Quoting from Reuters (British news agency):

Google has suspended business with Huawei, which requires the transfer of hardware, software and technical services except for those publicly available for 'open source' licensing ...

This situation reflects an order imperatively signed by current US President Donald Trump, whose purpose is to revoke the use of Huawei equipment by US companies.

I have a Huawei. Should I worry?

The answer to this question is NO. This will be used exclusively in future Huawei devices, leaving existing ones on the market free from adjacent impacts (a statement has already been issued in which the technology reacts to Google's decision and assures all customers that it will continue to upgrade their devices. released so far).

Thus, it is important to note that the company will still have access to the public version of Google's operating system (Android Open Source Project) and that it is certainly analyzing the best action plan / outline of this “tragic” development change.

Google also confirms that Huawei devices will continue with basic services.
