The word savings is quite common and used by all of us, especially in times of financial hardship. No doubt saving money is the solution to financial balance and is the first step to changing your life.
So we give you some tips that you can apply in your day to day to reduce your spending and add some money at the end of the month.
1 - Record All Expenses
The first step is to record the expenses you have each month. There are diaries that already have pages dedicated to monthly expenses, however, you can save all invoices and write down each of your expenses in a notebook dedicated to your savings.
2 - Have Breakfast at Home
Simpler than this is impossible. If you make the weekly calculation every time you go to the pastry to have breakfast, believe me, at the end of a month you can buy a branded sweater and maybe you still have some change. And when I say breakfast, I also say the lunch box you should bring for your lunch and snack… you will see that only this will save you a lot of money, and at the same time you can have a healthier diet.
3 - Don't Throw Food Out
What is left of dinner may well serve as lunch or dinner for the day ahead. Think about the advantages: Don't put food out and save your time. If you don't feel like eating the grilled meat from the day before, it's easy, chop the meat and make a refugee with it and then enjoy it for a homemade lasagna.
4 - Enjoy the coupons and coupons
Many supermarkets already have associated cards, and with them come coupons and discount coupons. Always see what it pays to buy and what you really need. Taking advantage of promotions means buying in bulk, especially if it's not spoiled, such as washing machine detergents, toilet paper, and so on - or things that have a long shelf life, as is the case of rice, pasta, olive oil, oil, milk, among others.
5 - Make a Shopping List
Before you go shopping, make a list and buy only what is written on it. This will keep you within the budget you planned to spend. Try the white marks because many of them do the same and are very affordable. Another tip: Never go hungry shopping… we tend to buy more!
6 - Don't Buy Bottled Water
Purchase a water filter or to apply to the tap. Or, if you have sources of drinking water near your home, always enjoy and fill the same carboys. Thus at the same time will be reducing the consumption of plastic. As for the plastic bottles you take to work, how about using the tomato pulp bottles for a different reusable glass bottle?
7 - Reduce Fixed Monthly Expenses
Need so many TV channels? Have you thought about how many you really see? And why the landline, if we all currently have a mobile phone? Regarding water, it is important that we reduce your bathing and dishwashing expenses, so the dishwasher is a good investment even for your water bill at the end of the month. As for light, use and abuse natural light, and in winter, going to bed early is always a good option: save light and get more rest!
8 - Enjoy Free Cultural Offers
Always be aware of your cultural agenda and enjoy free concerts, lectures and workshops. It is always a way to save money and know new things. If you enjoy reading, enjoy the municipal library and rent books instead of buying them.
9 - Save on Clothes
Sales are always a great opportunity to buy clothes for the following year and beyond. However, try to give second hand clothing a chance… clean your closet at the end of each season, give out the clothes you no longer like or don't need, and enjoy if someone else does it with you too!
10 - Make Money Purchases and Set a Deadline for Your Goals
A surefire tip for those who don't want to spend more than planned in the supermarket or mall is to go shopping with the money in the wallet, and not exceed! If you want to buy something that you want or want / dream for you, set a deadline to raise money to buy it. You will see that you will have an incentive to save money!
